Not posted an update in so long, but nothing much has changed.

We moved yards, he's so much healthier and just so much happier there. He's been on a break since July/August time last year, due to him being used in the school so much so I wanted to give him a break and I wanted him to get to a decent weight after losing a lot of condition. Hopefully going to be taking him back into work very soon though! I'm chuffed to bits with his weight just now, it's the best it has been since I got him. Just need to work on his topline and muscle, and he'll be looking fantastic IMO, but I'm biased. :o

Not got much planned for this year. Just want to have fun really! Lots of hacking, down the beach etc. Want to get him going really well on the flat, maybe do a few Interdressage comps, and want to do a bit of jumping too.

Hope that hasn't bored you all too much :p Here are a few pics of the boy during his holiday! Hope you enjoy :) I apologise for the overload!

Thanks everyone! I have a before and after pic of his weight, but I didn't want to post it. I know what some people on here can be like  lol!

Plans are just taking it easy for a good month/6 weeks. I'll start long-reining him, doing hilly hacking and just doing bits and bobs here and there. Not in any rush so just going to take my time and work on building up his topline for just now :) then hopefully move on to what I said in my OP. Trying to save up for a new saddle too, as a wee treat for us both :D

He is looking good. You aiming for any shows this year?
Where did you move him to? PM me if you'd prefer.

Thank you mrs! Well a friend of mine has offered to take me to a few if she gets a chance, so I might be out and about at some point. Will let you know and see if we can meet anywhere :)

He's just along from where we were before. Long story of why we moved, but it was the best move I've ever made for him!

Sure :)

He's an ex-racer. He was flat racing for a while, but to put it bluntly, he was crap at it! His breeder then reluctantly sold him on in 2004, as he wasn't getting any faster. His new owner let him rest in the field for a year, then took him back in to try him at P2P. He done pretty well in that, getting a few 1sts, few 2nds and many 3rds. He's a fantastic wee jumper and tries his heart out bless him! He was then retired from that in 2008 and put back into the field for a while. She thought he summered so well in, that in 2009 she took him back into work to try him at some dressage and showjumping. He done pretty well for a retired ex-racer!

She was very reluctant to let him go, but she had other projects to work on, and she felt that he would be a perfect family horse for someone. I'm so glad she did, he's my perfect horse as sad as it sounds :o

So now he's stuck with me, doing fun bits and bobs and just enjoying life! I can pop up his breeding or a few pics of him racing or anything like that if anyone is interested in that kind of thing :)
