cleanER stables?

My mare is really really messy in her stable, and i have to clear out nearly of the bedding, it is costing me a fortune!! Are there anyways that I can get her to be a bit cleaner in her stable?

Also, I have heard that if you put some poo (horse obv. lol ) in a certain part of the stable, they will only poo in that place? is this true?

the only way to save money in the long run with bedding is to put down rubber matting and then a small amount of bed which can be swept up in the morning and replaced or no bedding at all. horses arnt nesting animals ant dont need a huge bed (i know im opening a can of worms now) it wont take long before youve recouped the cost of the matting on saved bedding!
