cleaning a treat ball

Is there a way to clean a treat ball?
Say, if one has been in storage a while, and you want to clean it before using it? I dont want to use anything thats not safe, is it just a case of warm water?
And if you use it most days, I assume you will need to clean it inside at some point

Warm water with a quick squirt of washing up liquid and a baby bottle brush, I also sterilise B's once a month with milton sterislising tablets

I put mine in the dishwasher without the tablet and it cam up brilliantly xx

First, make sure there are no mice in it. Then, take the lid off and power hose it. That was my tactic!

I'm with Silmarillion - power hose, then put it in the sun to dry (if you have sun!) xx

No advice on cleaning them, but just wanted to say, if by any chance there is a mouse in mine he will have the headache from hell!!! Che bashes it around his box every night for a good hour to get every last nut out. He wont touch his tea or his hay until its empty
