Not nice I know but some people say to clean and some dont, anyway our pony has sticky stuff down his back legs which is a BUGGER to get off (any tips?) and his dangly area is a bit whiffy, he does'nt mind you trying to clean it but I never seem to get anything out ! so any advice would be fab, thanks

Mine needs his done about once a month. Wash the insides of his legs off with shampoo and warm water, it might need a gentle scrub. As for his "bits", my horse is very obliging, if you do some carrot stretches first he lets it all hang out!. Have a bucket of warm water, I never use any kind of soap or cream, and some soft cloths ready (I use a few J-cloths), and you might like to wear some latex gloves! Give it all a thorough wash very gently, including carefully reaching up inside, you might be horrified at what comes out!. Some horses don't need theirs done at all, others like mine get quite foul if not attended to.

A hand full of baby oil as it hangs and keep a gentle hold as it slides back out of view!!! You should end up with a hand full of unmentionably smelly stuff..... oh yes and second the wearing of gloves!!!

I clean my boys sheath firstly with baby wipes which are moist and will help remove the smeg and then baby oil, I defo wear gloves as it's a revolting job. The baby oil helps it to self clean as well.
Some people are lucky and their neds don't need to be cleaned but both boy neds I've had have needed help with wiffy bits.
