I clean my lot out in the morning and again a night. In the morning i lift the wet and dirt, i lift the dirt in the evening. My friend says she leaves a layer of wet in the stable and only lifts the wet 1-2 times a week as it keeps heat in the stable.

Do yous leave any wet in or do yous do the same as me?

Depends on the horse - one of mine is very clean and could easily be deep littered, skipped out twice a day. The other poos and wees like an elephant and has to be cleaned out regularly. New Pony seems to be extremely hygenic and tries to do all her poos on the shelf!

its deeplittering,no i muck it all out every time !

(This is what I would do - as I don't have stables at the mo

From what I'm told, Super could pee for Ireland. So if it were me, I'd pick out the wet/poo stuff as best I could in the morning and poo pick in the evening. And then once a week, go through the lot for a weekly clean

Personally I like to lift the pee everyday, im maybe wrong in doing this but i bank the stuff that isnt every wet. Mae is a stinker in the stable (thank god shes out lol), Finn is worse.

Pocket ivr rubber matting in some stables, they were there when we moved in. I still put a good bed in though lol.

Our first yard was terrible before i started doing the liveries, the wet was never lifted in the other stables. I swear when i cleaned them, it smelt like really bad rotten eggs.

No I clean it all out twice a day - even though mine are out during the day I leave the gates open and they often stand in if the weather is bad (usually crammed 3 in one box). Mine are on rubber matting so I dont like leaving urine to get through underneath. I use Easibed on top to mop it up.

I leave the wet in and take it out once a week. This seems to work best for my mare. She is a little messy, but not to bad. However my other, Josh, is having to have his wet taken out a little more frequently, but i just do what suits each horse.

I always think i bed that has some wet underneath is more solid and stable and it could possibly at warmth, but i've never thought of it.
