After reading posts 're sheath cleaning I'm led to ask.....how do you do this actually.

I've just got my first gelding, and I had a poke around yesterday. I cleaned out the hollow bit around it butI don't know whether I should also be going up inside properly? How do you do this?

Also what product is best. I used a bucket of warm water and baby oil but it's still not that clean :/

Any advice in new gelding owner level will be greatly appreciated :) xxx

All geldings sheaths are different, some stay clean and just need a quick wipe when their sheath is down to get crusty bits off.
Some sheaths gather a lot of grease that can drip down there legs in warm weather, if he will let you get a rag and wipe inside, if it is really greasy, use warm water and a rag and just wipe around inside, as far as he will allow.
{do this job when no one is around ;)}
