If you see something you think you might one, pick it up and decided later, if you wait you can gurantee it'll be gone!

which one you interested in? they're all over the country in the next week or so. the wetherby (at the racecourse) one is 12-4pm on monday. it says:

"1/2 price or less, bankrupt stock and end of lines on behalf of the official receivers clearance co".
says loads of rugs, jackets, boots, saddles all at half price or less and mentions toggi, mountain horse, joules, ariat etc....

Ooh, what time is the Lingfield one starting. I don't really *need* anything but it'd be rude not to look!
They are good but as others have said, if you see something you like pick it up!!

If it is the same one that is in Leics tomorrow the top tips are get there early - they start queuing up to an hour before. It is like a jumble sale pick up anything you might like - you can always put it down again, they only take cash and cards.

Previously I have got Ariats for £40 amd Mountain Horse boots for £50 - both were over £100 originally - and I don't grow anymore I buy them and keep them for when I need them (had the last lot 5 years before I wore them!) have loads of jods so stock up and stick in a draw, got a feather filled Puffa for £40 or £50.

Be prepared to rummage and get knocked around a bit - I go with friends/sister and neices and we run a tag team operation where we take it in turns to go and rummage and then try stuff to either keep or put back while someone stands with the stuff to 'keep'.

Sharpen your elbows!!

I went to one on Thursday at Oatridge College and i was hugely disapointed in the range of stuff they had.
My sister wanted a pair of arriats and they were still over 100lbs (sorry can't find the pound sign), was also looking for overreach boots for my horse but they were all huge.

ok couldn't be bothered PMing everyone so here are the details:

they all start at 12 noon and finish at 4pm:

Leicestershire/Notts- 25/10 (i.e. tomorro!) at the Six Hills Hotel, LE14 3PD

Wetherby- Monday 26/10 at Wetherby Racecourse

Newmarket- 28/10 (12 noon to 8pm) and 29/10 (10am to 4pm) at King Edward Memorial Hall CB8 8JP

High Wycombe- 30/10 at Wycombe Wanderers FC, HP12 4H5

Lingfield- 31/10 at the racecourse

Exeter- 01/11 at the racecourse

Winchester- 03/11 at Winchester Rugby Club, SO23 7EF

Hereford- 04/11 at the racecourse

Chester- 05/11 at the racecourse

I had some initial reservations when I saw the ad in the York Post, as there are no contact details given whatsoever. But I've just called in to the sale @ Wetherby as there were a few bits I needed. Unfortunately boots & girths were only available in large sizes, all the Harry Hall jods were regular leg, a lot of stuff including the rugs were unfamiliar makes and so I'm not confident that the prices were indeed half-price, and the familiar makes were charged at more than half price eg girths normally £18 selling for £12, jods normally £32 selling for £20. I definitely wouldn't want to risk buying anything expensive or that might not fit unless they offer a reassuring refund policy, particularly as they didn't even offer a receipt for the item I did buy.....
