Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of giving this to their horse and if it made any difference, I'm just about to start using it,

thanks

Yes, alongside something else I forget the name of (begins with sp), cleared up a really bad cough (horse nearly on his knees coughing) nicely.

I have used it quite a lot.Its very effective.Management is key.Hayledge or soaked hay, shavings etc not straw. My horse is worse in summer actually.Mainly I just keep a tub handy.Haven't really needed it over the winter but when he starts coughing or feels a bit thick in his breathing I give it once a day for a few days until the symptoms settle. Then withdraw it.All horses are different though.

Mine was just a short course. Horse was living out and came down quite suddenly with a really bad cough. He's not had it since, touch wood.

Yes - vet prescribed for my husbands horse instead of Ventopulmin for mild COPD/RAD. Said essentially same thing but about half the cost. Worked well for him. Long term we have put him on Science Supplements Respiraid which seems to work for him. Tried him on the NAF Respirator plus but used to start coughing as soon as he came off the loading dose onto the maintenance. *touch wood* haven't needed and Dilaterol since starting the Science Supplements one.
