Arrived bright and early at 7am (dressage at 8.36am) to be told that they were having a course inspection. So went off to walk the show jumping (walked xc on sat). When I got back to the lorry was told course was ok but they were taking out fence 5 as it had standing water in front of it.

Got ready and went off to dressage to find all the dressage judges cars stuck in the middle of the warm up!! The warm up area had been used the day before for the PN and intro and was very deep. What with cars stuck in the middle and the deep going I decided to warm up around the edge of the field, which wasn't so deep, and ride lots of transition to keep Ed listening. Once they had towed all the dressage judges into place we went in. Ed did a really nice test and got a 34.3 which I really pleased with.

On to the show jumping. The warm up area had been moved from the day before so wasn't too bad. Ed warmed up great and we went in first. Jumped a lovely round and just had one down when he stuck a short one in before an upright.

Arrived at the cross country warm to find out that a jump judges car was stuck on the course. Half an hour later they had towed her off and we were ready to go. Ed was desperate to get on with the fun bit. He flew round and didn't put a foot wrong. He finished inside the time so we completed on a score of 38.3 and we were 5th. So was a very happy mummy.
