The couple who are based in Luxembourg have 11 Cleveland Bays and travel widely to promote this ancient British Breed.

Chris tells me that the team have attracted admiring looks and have been the topic of conversation in many of the EU locations they have visited. Looks, action, power and of course fantastic temperament.

It is great to see a British breed competing with Geldlanders, Freisans and Warmbloods and winning

Oh I do love the Clevelands...my gelding was part bred Cleveland his dad was a full up cleveland and very handsome!
I love their stubboness, power and attitude...i would have another one even if it was another part bred.

Cleveland Bays are not stubborn, just intelligent (most of the time!

) They are incredibly loyal animals and once they trust you will try their hearts out for you.

Yes SSM.

When I was toying with the idea of buying a CB about six years ago everyone I met said 'don't buy one they are stubborn'.

We went to look at one and bought two - as you do - then every other person I met said 'oh you have a Cleveland Bay the best horse I ever had was a Cleveland Bay.'

I now have three mares, one stallion and a super filly foal, the thing I love about them is their intelligence and sooo friendly. I have a superb Shagya Arab colt but the CB filly is much smarter if she was a person she would be a member of MENSA.

See my stallion 'you tube' I only put a lead rope on him to take him into my yard the rest of the time he follows me like a dog. (I am off camera)

The link does not always work so you tube search 'Cleveland Bay Stallion and Shagya Arabs' see my arabs having fun - little darlings.
