Those of you who one a Cleveland Bay horse. What are their temperaments like? Im buying a horse and there is a CB breeder nearby and Im thinking of visiting them. I want a middleweight gelding and Ive heard mixed reviews about CB's temperaments. Ive had 2 ISH's and Im looking for another ISH or maybe a Cleveland Bay.

So guys please tell all. Also some photos would be great :)
 
i think u eather love them of hate them i have a clevalandbay xtb mare she is fab brilliant hunter and allrounder very honest but she gets called a diva at the yard that cauld be just as shes a mare there very sturdy horses and hard working have herd the pure breds can be quite layed back and sumtimes lazy thats y i went for a x
 
Highly intelligent, generally very level headed although they do have their quirks... lovely soppy temperament, LOVE to work and please....

So where abouts are you? and what breeder are you looking at?

I would seriously consider shopping around and doing your research. There are quite a few advertised for sale on the Cleveland Bay Horse Society website...
