My dearest, most speshul horse has managed to entirely remove the chestnut off the inside of his off hind.

How? I hear you ask...

By stepping off the edge of a little sleeper bridge when he wasn't really concentrating!

It's not bled, he's completely sound and he made more fuss about me putting on fly spray on his neck than about me cleaning it with hibiscrub or putting purple spray on where his chestnut was.

any ideas about whether it will grow back or anything I should do?

hi, yes my friends horse ripped her chestnut off and she just kept an eye on it, no problems, didn't seem to bother her at all and grew back. Think it is the same as us cutting our nails, my farrier often trims chestnuts off. Don't worry it'll be fine.
