my ponys joints have just started to click-he is now 14-and in light-moderate work(schooling, jumping, hacking) he is not lame atall. he is currently not fed anything apart from short grass and hay. i think maybe the work he is in is too much for his current nutrition, so have just started to feed him hard feed. someone told me that adding cider vinegar to his feed will help with joints and suppleness. but how much to give?? or will sunflower or vegeatble oil help?

I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. A friend's eventer clicks when he walks, but he's fine out riding and eventing, it has never caused him any problems and the vet said not to worry about it - something about the ligaments catching each other.

My boy clicks (he had lameness too for a while, can only put it down to hooning round the field and slipping over as there were lots of skid marks), and my friends 7yo cob clicks. Doesn't cause them any problems at all.

agree with shadowflame - both mine clicked didnt cause a problem - i get my cider vinegar from morrisons 53p x

My lad clicks in walk, he's 10, and passed a flexion test at the vetting, it doesn't affect him. At Tattersalls I saw a 2* eventer who clicked, and went on to be placed I think.
