Clip growing out strangely

I last clipped in February, and it seems to be growing out really strangely?

He has 'spots' all over his shoulders where the hair is longer and darker than the rest of his clip, and longer whispy hairs everywhere too?

Is there anything that I can do? Would it hurt to use some human hair clippers on grade 2 or something just to take the top off off the whispy bit so it is all the same length?

Hope this makes sense, it's hard to describe!

Its probably just looking strange as the coat is changing now and the summer coat is a different colour !

I think the long hairs must be 'cat hairs' I just trim them off with scissors or lightly passing the clippers over them.

Shouldn't worry though- you don't want to meddle with it too much or the summer coat will look patchy and strange when the moulting has finished

Yes I think they are cat hairs.

Will pass clippers lightly over them then, and try and sit on my hands while he looks a little bit silly!!
