clipped feathers?

hello there
i dont know if maybe i should put this in teh competition section or not so im stickin it here at the moment, i have a irish draught that i just got in november, i keep her feathes trimmed i did do this by clipping the, off the first time as i was clipping her anyway, but my friend is wanting to show her i was just wondering do u have to have feathers for her breed? if so she wont be showing as i hate feathers but if u dont have to have them is it ok for them to be clipped of? and if so how should it be done i just took it from her hock down and a little at the sides if tht makes sence?
also if someone could tell me how to upload pics i can put pictures of her if anyones interested

ok thanks, sorry if i upset u lol, my first pony (now my sisters pony) feathers used to grow in all horrible and looked a state so ever since then i like nice clean cut legs, my friend has a cob tho and i like his!
