Clipped winter woolies showing

Is it frowned upon to take a shetland into a M and M class if it has been clipped except legs? He has a very very long mane and tail a clipped bridle path and is clipped all over to the top of his legs. I'm not sure if he is supposed to be shown "natural".

Probably meant to be natural, but I think its better if they're clipped - shows they're actually USED for something! Also means the judge can actually see its body rather than just a big fuzz ball...!

Thanks - it looks like he will be baby sitting a foal anyrate so it won't matter

No, I think shatlands can be clipped for showing. Maybe go onto the shetland pony forums and ask there?
