I'm planning on being brave in the next week and having a go at clipping both of my sweaty cobs as their last clips have grown out and they're getting very warm even in lightish work.

I have moser avalon clippers but need to buy new blades. I've seen ones that clip to 1.5 mm and ones which clip to 3mm . Can anyone advise me which I should be using?

Thanks in advance :)

If its your first go I would go for the 3mm ones they are a lot more forgiving for an in experienced clipper. And also you'll find it easier with cob hair with the 3mm blades.
I once tried to clip a fell with fine blades(the shorter ones) and they jammed quite a lot and left a lot more lines.

3mm is a medium blade and 1.5mm is a fine blade. It's normal and acceptable to clip with either. People do both. I usually use fine blades as I prefer the finish and I have a fine coated TB and a fine coated WB. If I was clipping something hairier/greasier I might be inclined to use medium ones though! :)
