Clipper blade sharpening question.

Can you do it yourself? I'm talking about standard stainless steel blades.

When I watched the man sharpen my blades last time, it looked like he was just using a bench grinder to do it. We have one, should I try it myself and see what happens? Or can someone tell me if there is a special art to doing it?

Can always sacrifice a set of blades in the interests of "experimentation"

i would not.i think it is `percision engineering`.the sparpening people always stress that the blades must be kept in pairs.
if you phone Lister shearing they are very helpful and i feel will give you a honest opinion.
