Having taken my blades to the local tack shop for sharpening and got them back WAY blunter than when I took them (I did take them back again for them to put them right but, if anything, they are even WORSE!) I am looking for some personal recommendations of where I can send them off for reliable sharpenend. Preferably an outfit that will send me a return envelope for the next time and do them promptly. I am sure you can't put details on here but if anyone would like to pm me.....? I'd be very grateful and so would my great sweaty yeti of a horse!

HCS Services, Tyne and Wear - you will find them by googling it. I have got 6 sets to send off this week - and they have done 2-3 sets a week for me for the last month( I do mobile clipping!!!)
They're reliable, speedy and generally great - I wouldn't use anyone else. If you send them off Mon - you'll have them back thurs/fri

Depending on your clippers going back to the manufacturer is generally the best option.

Just grinding then down does blades no good and they often come back worse, or blunt very quickly.

I cannot remember the technical term, but they need to be more than just re-ground.
