Last winter I got a set of Lister Neon clippers with the blades already fitted. I clipped my horse but the clip was very close to the skin and his white areas looked very pink when I had finished. Do I need to get some different blades? If so, does anyone know where can I get these from and how much are they likely to cost?
I'd like to have not such a close shave this year!!!!

I have the same clippers and they have the fine blades, i got some new blades off the internet, but I can't remember which company. Go on the Lister site i think it tells you which blades you can use

I have a neon and certainly my blades that came with it are 'fine' blades but I have a bay and a black so no white!

My friends horse has white bits and certainly for a few days the white areas do look a bit pink but then the fur grows and then covers it more.

New blades are around £35-£40 depending upon the tack shop.

I use 'fine' Lister blades, they clip my horse closer than anyone elses in our yard, which for me is great! If you clip a pink skinned grey it does usually look a bit 'pinky' for a week or two. I wouldnt worry, though you could get some medium or course blades if you don't want such a close cut
