Hello, I'm just looking for a clipper blade sharpening place in West Sussex and does any one know how much roughly it will cost?
Oh and how long once sharpened do they last for ie one full clip, 2x full clips

thanks

Mine cost £6.50 to sharpen them and i send them off free post. they are normally gone about 3 days. (I can get you the address if you like)

I can do about 3 full clips with mine before sharpening but it depends how thick the coat is etc.

try a company called clipper sharp. once they recieve them they wil do them and send them back out within 48 hours. and cost £6.95

I've tried using ceramic blades recently - and really pleased. They are supposed to stay sharp 10 times longer than the normal ones - so should mean I wont need them sharpening until the end of winter...

Dont forget to put the return address in with them and a cheque.

I use Clippersharp - they have always turned them around really quickly.

Re how long the blades will stay sharp - it really depends on the clipping you are doing, how regularly you oil the blades, how dirty the horse is that you are clipping, the type of hair the horse has - loads of stuff really! :)
