after reading how much clipping posts
i was wondering if id get much interest in hiring my clippers out
at £20 a shot ? based essex.
my reason for thinking was maybe a couple of friends could club together and do their own clips ?
would i need to ask for a deposit / proof of id etc ?
or is it a waste of time completly lol

The trouble with this as a business, is that you really ought to have your blades sharpened every few clips, so you'd have to pay for this, plus have enough spare blades while you wait for them to be sharpened.
Also - don't underestimate how stupid/careless people can be with hired stuff. I lent a brand new set of clippers to a vet nurse, who returned them to me with the flex broken where the horse had stood on it (I'm trying hard not to think of what could have happened to them both, fools

If they were my clippers I don't think I would. Unless you made the hirer give you a deposit to the same value as replacement clippers.
I think people who think clipping is expensive haven't had to buy their own, pay for blade sharpening, or put up with naughty horses. It takes a long time to do a full clip.

I don't have any clippers, but I am happy to pay for an expert clipper to do my horses as she does a much better job than I could do.
