Clipper oil for sensitive skin?

Can anyone recommend any particular brands?

Mine has allergic reactions to clipper oil, my vet advised not to use the aerosol clipper oils but instead the ones you squeeze out (if that makes sense). I have used the lister oil with no reaction and also the barrier clipper oil

I find the barrier one is good and it smells of lavender and I have a horse that is allergic to most things and have never had a problem with it.

I just looked on the barrier biotech site who make it and I think they have stopped making it can't find it on there anywhere, what's a shame it's such a good product

There's something called "Oil2Horse" (think I've got that right) which advertises itself as being suitable for using as clipper oil, as well as other topical applications. Basically its high-grade mineral oil (overpriced for topical use IMO but a lot of people swear by the stuff for conditions like mallenders etc). I did use it as clipper oil recently as I'd run out of the "proper" stuff.

Mebbe worth a try?

Clipper fixers/checker type people and blade sharpeners will.probably shoot me down in flames for this but..... Baby oil. Use very liberally.
