Sending my clippers away to be sorted as the 2nd power setting seems to have a loose wire as it only works if you push it down and hold it there but works fine on the 1st setting. They're Liveryman harmony clippers.

I was wondering on the whereabouts on the price range it would be to get this sorted plus the blades sharpened? I know the repair would be hard to tell but just an average guide would be really helpful and previous experiences, thanks in advance :)

Hi, I had a new power cable put on mine, the motor serviced and 2 sets of blades sharpened on mine for under £50. I think it worked out £6.50 for sharpening per set, £18 for servicing motor and £16 for the new heavy duty power cable. The chap also sold me a 2nd hand box to keep the clippers in as mine had come from ebay without one. This was £5. Not sure of the name of the place but they do mail order repairs etc and are in Buck Barn West Sussex. Very reliable.

I bought Liveryman Harmony clippers and had problems with them when they were just inside the guarantee: I sent them back via my local tack shop which was where I bought them, so probably not much help to OP.

Try clippersharp.com - they're based in Devon if that's any help. On their website it says they do blade sharpening plus general clipper repairs. I've not used them personally but have heard good feedback about them.

Hope this helps.
