clippers from argos??

what do u reckon? anyone brought any?

iv got a colliex and i cant stand taking her to the groomers and handing over 50quid and not being happy with how she looks

Can't see why not, but check the mens' ones - they may be cheaper, and I bet they do the same job!

i use normal mens clippers and a grade 4 on my collie x. think i paid about £10-15 for the clippers and 4 length thingys.

You might want to get out alot of the undercoat before
you clip, this will make it tons easier.

I got a set of Wahl clippers from Argos about three years ago - they're great and I still use them regularly

I use my horse clippers on my springer spaniel. I just clip in the direction of the hair as opposed to against when clipping the horse, that way the clip is not too close to the skin and dog still has a decent amount of hair left on!
He obviously looks ok with his haircut as people always assume i take him to a dog groomer!!

i wish i had read that comment about the under coat earlier! lol not thatvi know how to get under coat out,,,, anyway

OH wouldnt let me buy 30quid clippers so i found some in asda for 6quid!! no loss really if they r useless.... i had to trim her coat by hand made 2 pairs of scissors blunt! but iv clipped her clippers amazing very good! lol pictures will be up soon... u can mark me for my 1st dog clipping attempt!
