Clippers - who do you get them serviced by?

Going on from Chex's post about how long clippers should last. How often should you have them serviced?

How much does it cost and do you post them off, and if so, who to?

Apart from a friend repairing them when something within the motor broke on my Lister Lasers they've not been serviced in the 5yrs or so I've had them.

They do get a bit hot after a while, so probably need looking at.

I guess it would depend on how many horses you clip in a winter.I only have one clipped horse,who is done twice a year.I have had my clippers five years and not serviced them yet!.When i do i will send them up to www.clippersharp.co.uk as they sharpen my blades and have always done a good job.

I did mine through the tack shop, but they go away to

It was £35 to get them serviced, that included delivery of about £10.

I used to have mine serviced every year; however I was clipping a lot of horses in that year. Most people wouldn't need theirs doing every year, possibly every 3 years. I also used to pay £35 and I used to take them to the tack shop and they sent them away to be done.
