Looking at getting a set of clippers so i can make a little bit of a business out of it so dont mind spending a bit more than usual. so i will be doing mainly racehorses so could be doing up to 8-10 horses a day. im currently looking at the Lister Legend or maybe the Liberty, has anyone used these products or can anyone recommend a good set of clippers that dont get to hot too quick and isn't that noisy please?!
Thanks!

I bought a pair of Lister Star a couple of years back and could never go back to using old fashioned, heavy clippers now.

They do get warm, but in my experience, all clippers get warm when used. For duraility and ease of use you won't find better. I'd get 2 pairs if you want to clip 8 horses a day!

If you are doing mainly racehorses and going to make a business out of it thn you want something light and quiet.
AESCULAP have a new clipper coming out which is very iight and quiet which I have heard good reports about and I have a set of LAUBE clippers which are battery and quiet and light and do not get hot. They also have interchangeable heads so you can use wide or narrow blades. I have three batteries and they charge fairly quickly so you can keep going all day.

Battery clippers are far easier with a fit and ticklish horse!

I would get Hauptners or something like that. Or Wolselys. They're built like tanks which is what I look for in a pair of clippers which are going to work hard.

I have Premier ones

They have been epic. I used to do what you do with them (worked on a yard with 30 horses in training and I clipped all of them damn things!) and they never let me down. I don't think being battery powered is hugely important as if you're clipping at trainers yards there should be electricity somewhere :)
