Hey there,
i can't decide, can i clip my welsh A whilst he's still malting?
usually he's rugged up to the eyeballs at this time of year but i decided for a different approach. he's grown quite a coat already and is dripping after work every day. i just want to get it off but he wont stop malting!!
help!

Lots of people do clip at any time of the year. I am from the old school where you don't clip until summer coat has been totally shed and winter one is in.

Don't think it really matters too much in todays day and age with all these wonderful blankets etc. however it may clog up or blunt your clipper-blades whatwith all the fluff and grease.

Yes clip him! If you wait till he stop moulting he then will have his winter coat ( if you know what I mean

) If hes sweaty and hairy, take it off!

I'm doing mine today, only thing is, clipping before the winter coat comes in means it will grow back in a few weeks! But if like me you LIKE clipping it won't matter
