Sorry this may be long.

I had my horse clipped in October by a lady who came to yard and did it. I have since moved my horse to her yard as it nearer to home. The yard is lovely and i am happy there.

My only complaint is that the owner has been promising to clip my horse again for me since i moved there at the endo fo november. I have asked three times and do not like to keep asking.

Now i am thinking is it too late to clip him again? He is quite hairy now and clip completely grown out.

Would it be worth buying my own clippers and have a go myself or would this offend the woman?

Don't know what to do x

Not too late to clip again. Have been busy clipping all the work horses now that the weather has suddenly got warmer and they are all hairy after the snow. I would ask the lady again and try and get a specific date from her, this often helps rather than her just saying she'll do it some time ask her if she could prehaps do it one day next week. Tell her he is getting really hot when worked so is desperate! If she wont give you a set time then prehaps it is worth getting your own or saying you will as you need it done, or threaten to pay someone else to come in and do it, this might prompt her into getting it done.

Buy your own clippers, the peace of mind of being able to clip your horse when you want it done is brilliant.

Don't worry about clipping either, if you make a mistake it don't matter, your horse won't care. As long as you take your time and don't try to rush you should be okay.

Good quality clippers are not cheap but definately worth it.

One thing though, if oyu do buy your own don't offer to do anyone elses horse without insurance. I have seen many a broken arm from horses being not so calm aroud clippers
