Geriatric bitch, (very frail, poor vision/fairly deaf) is now a bit old for a six hour round trip to the poodle parlour some distance away. She still loves her walks/food etc but isn't very robust. Would it be possible for me to scissor cut a rough trim this Spring, if so what scissors would be best/any other advice.

She has various benign lumps but I know where they are. She currently has a rough 2" long coat and I just trim around her eyes/bum regularly with rounded nail scissors - but I don't think I could do the whole dog (foxy) with nail scissors! I'd plan to do her in bits (-not literally) over several days as she is so old.

Any advice welcome. Otherwise I'm going to have to find someone local that will do her a piece at a time, and who doesn't mind me watching every move!!!

Yes. Shame someone nicked my curved fetlock scissors a while ago, though they'd probably have been too big/bulky anyway.
