i dont know weather to brave it..... i'd say ive done a lot of clipping and am very confident in it, i normally take everything off my horse including legs and ears but have never braved all his head, i've done this b4 on greys but he is a bay and ive been warned he may get rings round his eyes but this doesnt worry me what worries me is the regroth? will it look silly as it starts to regrow? also he has very little forlock and has a bit of 'fluff' around it, would u take this off or leave it there? the full heads ive done b4 never had this bit of fluff and as i said they were grey! the only reason i really want to do it is because i take his ears off untill it has a bit of groth his half head is the only bit of him that looks a different colour! opionions would be gratefull

i rarely take full heads off - just half is enough for me.
however ive taken my bay mares full head off in the past and never had any problems with her having panda eyes lol she also has fluffy bits around her forelock and this gets clipped off as she looks stupid once her forelocks plaited.

I always done a full head on my old boy, i understand what they mean about panda eyes, because he was chestnut, he went a sand colour when clipped so you could see any hair that was left very clearly, but, the panda eyes only last a couple of days before you dont see it anymore, the same as the lines etc that clipping leave. A week at the most and you wont notice it x

just done a full head on my boy- he will have a 1/2 head on his second clip but i like to get it all off for the first one to stop the fluff getting out of control!
