Clipping. how many..........................

How many clips do you get from 1 set of blades before sharpening?
Some people say after two full clips, others say more, others say less,
How many clips do you get from yours?

Well our yard ones have currently done four full clips and don't feel blunt yet

I'd like to know though as they'll need sharpenning sometime soon i'm sure

I get mine done every three or four full clips, but it really does depend. If you're hogging and doing legs, then they usually blunt very quickly.

I run a (busy at the moment!) clipping service and sharpen every 3 clips regardless!

I get 3 to 4 clips out of mine but friend borrowed my clippers with brand new blades and blunted them on a hairy cob with full clip and hogged mane. Depends of cleanliness and coarseness of coat i expect!

i get 3 or 4 if horses very clean 1or 2 if dirty beasties

Full clips (not legs) - 2 -3 but Cairo has a very tough coat. 4 - 5 clips were no problems on my TBs.

Last year I got 5 out of mine which I thought was quite impressive.
