How easy is it to clip horses legs? i have never done it before as i usually leave the legs on but i would like to take them off, how easy is it, do you use a smaller clipper or your usual big one?

Very easy if your horse is well behaved. For me it is extreamly difficult hehe.

My horse just stand there so its very easy for me, I dont use a different clippers, just my normals one. Sometimes around the chestnuts or back of teh fetlock can be a bit tricky but just take your time...

My little pony has only been clipped 3 times,

On the third it was her first time clipping legs off...thought she was going to be a nightmare! but she was letting me stretch her legs out like a farrier would and was totally relaxed! total shocker!..and that was with huge scary buzzing ones!

Shes a bit *arg!* when they turn on and put them on her but once there on shes fine! (turn them off and its like "ah! never seen those before!!")

Not difficult as log as horse is ok - nothing worse than doing a stripe up the front of their leg then them deciding they don't like it - or as I once did, 1 front leg then pony (belonging to a mate) decided clipping was the work of the devil and wouldn't let us near him - he was a chunky cob too

and she had a SJ show the next day
