I need the ginger ninja clipping and as I don'y have my own clippers I have had to find someone to do it for me.
I have been quoted £40 for full clip excluding legs, £45 with legs off.
I have no idea about clipping prices as I borrowed clippers last year and did him myself.

Maybe depends where you are in the country, but I paid £35 for a very smart blanket clip the other day. It was the same last year.

(Love the hand prints!! ;) )

My two were done today. £35 for a blanket clip including full head and all legs off the very very hairy cob. £25 for a chaser clip, half face and leg tidy on big lad.

You guys are expensive, I charge £30 for a full not including legs, which is about average in my area. I do charge extra for travelling outside a reasonable distance tho

Sounds about right to me. I charge less, but that's because locally its mainly cheap diy so I make more doing an afternoon of cheaper clips on a yard within a few miles than I would charging more & traveling further.

I didn't realise I saved myself so much money by doing it myself! Lol! :) I've never paid to have a clip done considering I've only had Leo 5 months and was feeling brave so I did it!

I don't feel bad about charging €50. I trim and pull the mane for that price too- plus I know i do a good job. ;) I'm a perfectionist. I clip jumping/ hunting horses and the turnout needs to be perfect. I get repeat orders every year! And I know I'm competitively priced in my area so if you're getting it cheaper in your area then you're lucky ;)

I got quoted £50 about three years ago. So I went and bought myself a set of clippers for £125. Paid for themselves within three clips!

I charge £45 for a full clip (half head and leaving legs and saddle patch on). One of my liveries used to pay £65 at her last yard!

I was charging between £40 and £50 for a full clip but have decided not to do full clips anymore, one reason is because I do not believe many horses really need all their hair removing and it's done more for appearance than the animals welfare and it's very time consuming when the job is being done properly and alot of horses don't appreciate their legs and around their eyes being clipped.

I often see alot of comments about people buying their own clippers cheaply, if it works for you fair play but from my experience these clippers don't last and I'm often called out to sort out a clip that can't be finished by the owner due to their clippers blowing up!

It's always a good idea to buy the best rated clippers you can which usually cost around £250 and most horses will need re-clipping every 5-8 weeks.

Things to bare in mind when using a service is the persons time, equipment wear, travel costs and insurances.

My clippers are regularly serviced and safety tested too.

I have heard of people being charged £70 for a full clip!
