What is standard these days? Am in the process of setting up a business, teaching, clipping, mane pulling etc (have the relevant insurance) but as I have clipped my own horses for the last 7 years I have no idea on what to charge?

Help please!

At our yard the YO charges a flat fee of £30 for any sort of clip. Obviously no travel is involved as its only for horses on the yard.

As well as travel costs, I'm sure you'd be wise to consider your time when calc'ing what to charge. One easy horse might take a third of the time to do the same clip on, as a horse with clipping issues. Not sure how you take that into account when charging, but think you should!

PS: I'd pay someone to come show me how to clip properly and get neat lines.... I still can't do it.
