Clipping prices...

I used to charge £30 for a full clip, no matter how long it took and less for lesser clips. Would be better to charge more for clips like trace/blanket as more lines to obsess over the straightness of, but just lessened the cost according to how much hair came off.

One thing I will strongly advise though is that you make sure the person is fully insured. My insurance cost me so much I gave it up. Most insurance policies for grooms that cover clipping cover the groom and the clippers and not actually the horse or any other property of the client.

So, make sure you know that whoever does it has sufficient 3rd party insurance to know that any vet bills or replacement bills for buildings/equipment will be covered should anything happen during the clipping.

It seems daft, but a lot of people who think they have insurance are not actually covered in the event that the horse they are clipping gets injured or causes injury.
