The first solution which springs to mind is ACP Tablets. Not harmful, just makes the time spent clipping rather less stressful for you and the horse. However, IF you have the time, try running an Electric Toothbrush over her body - as many times a day as you have the time to do so. Also, a Twitch normally does the job whilst clipping out (fit, tickly racehorses). Always better to "twitch" than have a war.

I agree with Chrissie! I swear by twitching! My mate used acp tablets from the vets, they did the job well!

I use to triple dose sedate my gelding and it did NOTHING as he just use to fight it!! I even got a vet out, their double dose seemed to have effect but I had to work quick, and it was an extremely expensive clip by the end of it.

It's one of those things that takes time, gain trust etc... We've perfected it over the years lol! Now Sammi will stand and let me clip without drugs or even a head collar on! I can even clip his ears!

If anything, the one thing I did learn, it's a great idea to wear your riding hat whilst clipping!! Mine was a god send.... xx
