Normally I don't clip Olly until October/November at least as I rug him early so he doesn't grow too much of a coat. However the weather round here has been so erratic that I haven't been able to do this as he has sweated up, so I am giving him a trace clip today.
Thing is that the weather for the next week is warm during the day (17-20*) and 10-14* overnight. He is a HW cob so quite a warm horse, and I won't be giving him a high trace so do you think a rainsheet would be OK overnight and naked during the day? Or would you think he would need a 100g rug overnight on the colder nights?
