Im thinking of doing a blanket clip on my pony. taking the head and neck off. I have a good outdoor rug with a neck cover(he will be in at night and out during the day) . the only thing is-his neck cover has a gap between the withers and rug when he eats grass and somethimes it can bunch up a bit and not cover his whole neck-if that makes sense. do you think it would be still ok to take the face off? I have a thermatx hood(with eye holes) which he wears in the stable but wuld it be any good used in conjunction with the neck cover outside on really cold days-but its not waterproof which would mean it getting wet. sorry i dont know anything about thermatex material(its not lycra) any tips??

He will be perfectly fine

P has a FULL CLIP (everything gone) and I turned him out naked for a few hours last week.
Generally he is still being turned out in a lightweight.....

he'll be fine. Daisy has a hunter clip and is currently out 24/7 with a hw rug on. She doesn't have a neck cover because her huge mane keeps her snuggly warm

I agree he sounds like he will be fine.
My horse is fully clipped except only half his face and I left the legs on: He is in a mediumweight NZ during the day and a thin fleece with a heavyish stable rug at night.
