Hi,
i was thinking about earning some extra cash this winter by offering to clip peoples horses for them, and i was just wondering what people think about these prices. I would be using my own clippers, and i'm fairly experienced and quite happy to do nervous/difficult horses too. All prices include a full face clip should the owner wish, or add £5 if the legs need to be clipped as well. I'm in the Cheshire area, and would be willing to travel up to 30mins, or possibly further for an extra bit of petrol money. Please note, i am not advertising my service here, i merely want to know if people think these prices are fair. (although feel free to pm me if your interested)
So here goes:

Hunter/Full clip £40
Blanket clip £30
Trace clip £25
Bib clip £20
Anything else price depending on difficulty of clip.

Thanks in advance for your opinions,

faerie666.

That's an awful lot for my area. I would expect to pay £20-30 for a full clip, including legs and face if I wanted them off.

Before we got our own clippers we paid between £15-£20 for full clip that was from people on yard earning extra dosh.If outwith yard it usually was £30 for full clip.

I'm in the south-east and charge about the same as you've quoted. I think that's about the norm down here but it may be different elsewhere. I charge the same for a blanket as a trace and also charge extra if the horse is difficult/nervous and I have to allow more time then normal.
