I have a 25yr old Shetland pony who had a Cushings diagnosis 3 months ago and started Prascend.
He is on 1 tablet a day (1/2 tablet wasn't lowering ACHTs at 2nd blood test)
He is stabled at night all year round, and in the field for about 7 hours a day. He is rugged when it's cold and wet.

This is the first summer he hasn't dropped all his coat (he did shed a lot of his long winter coat)
Anyhow, in readiness for the hot weather due tomorrow I have clipped him.
I have given him a high trace clip, taking all his neck, tummy and shoulders off.
However what clip would you recommend. As it was his first clip (which he loved) I decided not to go too mad, but should I take the lot off (apart from his legs)???
I did wonder about a high blanket clip so his back has some protection and he's not totally naked.

Anyone have any thought.... I can't decide??? And equally can't believe I'm debating a clip on a Shetland ;-D

Thanks stinkbomb..... :-)
Next few days will be a good indicator. Good to hear what others have done. Just want the best for my boy, and want to make sure he's comfortable in the heat but equally in the rain too.
I may trim his beard though ;-D (will not include his whiskers I hasten to add)
