He's in medium-ish sort of work... Ridden 6 days a week, once by my trainer (who does work him hard) and competes at dressage as and when we feel like it

Missy has everything off apart from a little patch of hair where her saddle sits and Storm has the little patch of hair where the saddle sits and half her head left on.

Mine is in light ish work, we hack 4x a week for an hour and a half, with an hour's pretty solid trotting, and school and lunge for two other days. Maiden was really really woolly (used to living out, and she's ID X) and she kept coming back dripping (even after walking all the way home from a hack) so I blanket clipped her. She was fine til she went lame and it all grew back, now I'll be riding her again properly I'll probably have to clip again soon!

Cairo has a blanket but with the back end left on. Chancer has a chaser.

Whilst they don't work hard, even 10 mins walk and 5 mins trot has them sweated up. As I exercise late evenings, I need them dry to avoid chills from wearing damp rugs.

Took them out together riding Cairo and leading Chancer for 45 mins, and they were still very sweaty where it is still warm during the day.

Baron is in light/medium and has a full clip. I left the legs on as he was still out at night but legs will be off on his second clip in a week or two. He is quite a sweaty horse thats why I decided to take it all off.

No not clipped and not intending to either! He is hacked out 4 times a week in winter and does 1 to 2 hours work each time, mainly in trot. Yes he sweats up but we walk the last mile home which gives him a chance to cool down and then he has a good brush down, rug on and out in the field. Seems to work for me.
I was considering clipping him but in all honesty he would need a fair bit off to have a benefit and then I would risk serious behaviour problems because he feels the cold so much. So I would rather have him warm and happy...if a little sweaty.!

Blanket clip on 3 year old ex-racer - who is in light retraining work. I chose to keep her back covered so that i wouldn't have to work her hard to keep her warm and relaxed rather than cold and tense.

She will probably have a full clip around christmas when we will be doing more hacking during the day - cant wait for some daylight. But that will depend on how she is going.

We own two show jumpers who are coming to the end of the season but one was lame and out in the field all summer and came in 6 weeks ago and we gave him a trace clip but he is now working well to try to fuse a spavin and he is so sweaty at the end of an hour that he is getting all his hair off this weekend. The other one is fully clipped but he is such a worrier that he sweats when the least little thing goes wrong that he is better clipped or we spend such a long time trying to cool him down each evening
