Just done my last clip this winter, but my clippers havent clipped as well even with newly sharpened blades and serviced clippers. Had a brain wave though, could it be I need finer blades because there is not as much hair. Should you use different blades after the first few clips? Or maybe its just my clippers?

As above really. Did you use the same people as normal for sharpening? Or, how many times have the blades been sharpened? There is a limit on how many times they can be done.

Hi all thanks for the replies. Yeah tension seems fine got the people who serviced the blades to check it. Blades have been sharpened twice how often can you sharpened them. I also use standard blades. My clippers are heinigner cordless which are not as powerful I know as electric but they are good. Thinking its just my mares coat. She is quite sensitive and last year after her last clip her coat grew in unevenly hoping this wont happen this year.

I have cordless clippers and find my 2nd clip looks in places liney and 'chewed'. Bit of an exageration but cant think of another way to describe it. My first clip comes off so easy but I seem to struggle a bit with the 2nd. I think its because theres not as much hair.
