have never had problems with getting a horse to stand for clipping, but our horse will not!! hes been sedated by vets,but then sweats- any ideas??wont take a twitch either-
clipping.

what sedation did he have ? did you try ACP

sounds like you need to desensitise him to the clippers.What part is it he doesn't like? the sound or the feel?
You can try by using one of those battery operated toothbrushes to get him used to the vibrating feel and also put it in a bucket under another bucket with feed in it to create the noise

what did the vet sedate with? sedivet makes them sweat faster than dom/torb/acp combination. though you only get about 45 min decent clip time before they start to come round so make sure you are set up with sharp blades oil etc and clip fast!
