Clipping...

When is it the best time to do the final clip? Castle was clipped in October and early December, and I want him to have a nice summer coat as I'll be showing him. Thanks in advance

God, mine has only been clipped once in October and not even really got a coat growing!

What?! I've had to clip my cob 4 times!

CastleMoyse- I think end of January would be the last time to clip him if you're showing?!

I actually clipped straight through last year beacuse P was just getting too hot when competitng in the summer. Having said that I didnt do alot of showing last year

but in previous years I have still clipped in March for HT season and P has always had a lovely coat by the time we started showing in the summer months

Bloss's last clip will be mid february.

I havent a clue about Archie, hes coat hasnt grown back at all since his last clip so his will probably be mid/end feb too.

I clip for as long as he needs it.

For showing I found we could get away with clipping up until the end of January but that was the latest.

Personally I clip all year round now
