Yes almost that time again :rolleyes:
But I have a problem horse who I haven't managed to clip for years, although I never clipped her the first time and I think she was sedated.
I really tried last year to get her used to the noise etc. I first used a little battery operated trimmer which was going great. I could put it on her both sides all over without her trying to kick me etc:)
So then I moved onto big clippers :( slightly more awkward with these as not cordless, started by just having them on when she was in stable etc. Then started to put them on her, seemed to accept shoulders just :) But that was as far as I got before I gave up.:(

Am seriously contemplating using the trimmers to clip her ;) could take awhile though :rolleyes:

Any suggestions of other things to try would be great:)
Forgot to say I don't think it's the noise as has teeth done with the electric tools :)

some never get to grips with clipping! though it can be a 3x a year job so for an easy life for you and easier for the horse just get the vet to sedate and clip away, but do be careful round tickly bits as a sedated horse is not a reliable horse!

i would have her sedated, it's much safer for both of you and then you can continue trying to get her used to the clippers in between
