Sorry to be goopy but can someone tell me what a close contact saddle is and what a reactor panel (is that VSD?) is, I keep hearing all these terms and am afraid of looking thick so don't ask for an explanation.
Close contact saddles only have the one saddle flap, rather than the traditional two, meaning there's less leather between your leg and the horse.
Reactor panel saddles have moveable panels underneath instead of the traditional fixed ones. The panels move with the horse so prevent back problems and allow muscles to work properly. Reactor panel saddles come in all varieties from dressage to jumping.
VSD is just a type of saddle like dressage/xcountry/all purpose. VSD saddles are similiar to GP saddles but are usually a little straighter cut.
