and dream of spring!

I had this view in my head as I paddled around in the mud tending to the animals today!

It WILL look like this again one day. All this mud will soon be a distant memory - console yourselves with that!

Ah, now I'd be looking at that and thinking "OmG I have left it too late to set up the strip grazing! Where's my fly masks?" :D

I'd be happy with a nice sharp frost and some blue sky, to be honest :)

Noooooo! far too much grass - somethign else to worry about :(

Yup!

Soon we'll be complaining about flies, the heat, too much grass, head shaking, hard going, sweet-itch, mood swings (us, and horses), what fly rug, fly mask or fly spray? has he reacted to something he's eaten?, is the water trough ok with the green stuff in it... are buttercups ok? Is ragwort dangerous? What wormer should I use?...
And muzzles... which one? (I vote for Dinky's btw)

After 40+ years with horses, it's always the same and yet.... we still do it.

Mad. Utterly barking. All of us. And thank God for that! ;)

:D Merry Christmas!
