clover I need some help please

Yes i know, but the seed i have seen has 2 types one with the clover in it (more expensive) and the other without. i was just wondering if it was worth the extra money or not.

Well I didn't know there were two types of paddock grass seeds. The one we put down must have had it in as theres clover and all the other good stuff. So I say yes as clover is good in the grass for horses.

In my opinion , white clover can be a problem in late summer , we have some horses that drool like a flood constantly unless we take them off the white clover . And I have seen some develop breathing problems from it . As soon as the clover is taken away ,problems stop.

Our horses seem to leave the clover and each the rest. The field is full of large clovers with bald areas arround it where theyve grazed the grass but left the clover. I wouldnt have it through choice.

I'd not want to actively sow WHITE Clover into my pasture. My paddocks are riddled in the stuff (and over run with Buttercups, too

) and I'm actively seeking a way to erradicate it from my grass! No, don't select the mix with the clover in it. Use the plain seed mix.

personally i wouldnt add clover to a field. it certainly wouldnt be high on my ist to add. the clover in my field has taken over and probably covers at least 50% of my field, it causes me no end of problems with allergies etc. im looking at getting shut of the stuff
