Clover is off to the vets this week for a work-up. She's had 2 weeks field rest to see if the new, better for her, farrier has helped.

She has been pulled out of the field and trotted up. What do you think?

I'm on my phone so hard to really see, but she did put forward some lame strides, I'm going to be honest that I found whoever was trotting her up seemed to be holding on to her head a bit and I felt this got in the way somewhat. Do you have a before vid to compare to?

Heh my poor OH trying desperately to stop her carting him off :D
I don't have a before but she was very, markedly lame - no questions. So this is 6 and a bit weeks after the initial incident.

hmm dificult to tell on vid but seemed unlevel for few strides when trotted towards you , and also on the turn , i,d say near fore but also doesnt look particulary brilliant on near hind either

Seems very similar to how my big girl was - almost lame in the shoulder, taking some lame strides and seeming footy. Mels was diagnosed low grade chronic lami, but Im convinced that concussion and possibly a slip and fall in the field (she has spavins and is a bit wonky through her back too!) did nothing to help matters.

Do you have any idea of what caused Clover's lameness? I initially found raging heat in one foot (same side as apparant shoulder lameness) and was treating as deep seated abcess!

Heres a vid of her at her worst - just as a comparison.
Hope the vet workup throws some light on the situation for you!

I don't know her story but I am going to have to say she looks bilaterally lame in front, worse in the left fore (some restricted head nodding) and also lame in the right hind. However it is quite hard to tell from a video :).
